1. Eligibility
The festival is open to filmmakers across India.
Films must be original works created by the applicant or their authorized team.
The filmmaker must hold complete rights to the film including story, screenplay, music, visuals, and sound.
FOR STUDENTS:
Identity card and the official letter from the college is mandatory
2. Film Duration
Short Films must not exceed 30 minutes, including opening and end credits.
Films shorter than 2 minutes will not be considered.
3. Technical Specifications
Resolution:
Preferred Format: 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels)
Minimum Accepted Format: Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels)
If submitted in 1920 × 1080, it must be exported in high bitrate with no compression artifacts or visual disturbances.
Frame Rate:
24fps / 25fps / 30fps accepted.
Format:
MP4 (H.264 or H.265 codec preferred)
MOV format also accepted.
Audio:
Stereo output (minimum 320 kbps recommended)
No distortion, clipping, background noise, or poor mixing.
Dialogue clarity is mandatory.
4. Content Guidelines
The film must not contain copyrighted content without proper authorization.
No plagiarism in story, concept, music, or visuals.
Pornographic or explicit sexual content is strictly prohibited.
Violence is permitted only if essential to the narrative.
Excessive gore, disturbing brutality, or exploitative content will lead to rejection.
Scenes involving romance or intimacy are allowed only if narratively justified and not presented in an obscene manner.
Political propaganda or hate speech will not be accepted.
Religious content must not promote hatred or disrespect.
Note: If intense content is crucial to the storyline (for example, war, terrorism, real-life tragedy, or socio-political conflict), it must be handled responsibly and realistically without sensationalism.
5. Language & Subtitles
Films can be in any Indian language.
English subtitles are mandatory for non-English films.
Subtitles must be properly synced and grammatically accurate.
6. Copyright & Legal Responsibility
The submitter must own all rights to:
Background score
Songs
Footage
Stock visuals
Sound effects
The festival organization will not be responsible for copyright disputes.
If any legal issue arises, the film will be immediately disqualified.
7. Submission Format
Films must be submitted via:
Private YouTube link / Vimeo link
OR
Direct upload via official festival portal.
Download must be enabled if link submission is provided.
Ensure link validity until festival results are announced.
8. Judging Criteria
Films will be evaluated based on:
Originality of concept
Screenplay strength
Direction
Cinematography
Sound Design
Editing
Performances
Technical Quality
Emotional impact
9. Disqualification Grounds
Poor audio quality
Blurry visuals
Watermarked content
Copyright violations
Misleading submission information
Content violating festival ethics
10. Final Decision
Jury decisions will be final and binding.
No correspondence regarding results will be entertained.
11. Rights to Festival
Selected films may be screened physically during the festival.
The festival retains the right to use film posters, trailers, and clips (up to 1 minute) for promotional purposes
